Two men and a woman in their 30s were arrested following the execution of a search warrant in Mississippi Mills, Ontario Provincial Police said Tuesday.

Investigators seized more than 60 grams of suspected cocaine, nearly 800 methamphetamine tablets, more than 170 hydromorphone tablets, more than 200 cannabis plants and other unknown substances, a news release said Tuesday, adding that officers also seized nearly $7,000 in cash, a handgun, other firearms and “items typically associated with drug trafficking” while also recovering two stolen vehicles.

The woman was from Merrickville-Wolford Township, the OPP said, while the men were residents of Mississippi Mills and Carleton Place.

Combined they were charged with approximately 20 drug and weapons offences.

The woman and one of the men were also charged with five counts each of possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order, the OPP said. They were remanded in custody and scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth next week.

The other man was scheduled for a bail hearing on Tuesday.

The investigation is continuing, police said.

People facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty. It’s our policy not to name those charged unless we plan to follow the case through the justice system or it’s of significant public interest to identify them.
