THE Apprentice was back for another episode, with the hopefuls all trying to impress in the famous boardroom.

However, for one candidate their time on the programme was cut short last night (Thursday March 28, 2024) after Lord Alan Sugar delivered those iconic words, “You’re Fired!”.

Who left The Apprentice last night?

The Apprentice season 18 continued last night (March 28, 2024), with the candidates continuing to compete for that £250K investment from Lord Alan Sugar.

This week’s show contained a surprise twist with it being a double firing.

During the latest episode the two teams were sent away on the iconic shopping channel challenge.

Candidates had to sell live to the nation on a well-known shopping channel while under the scrutiny of Karren Brady and Tim Campbell.

Neither team aced the task but the group led by Raj Chohan ended up making far fewer sales and found themselves in the Bridge Café to discuss what had gone wrong.

Raj and co-star Maura Ruth had viewers cringing as Raj didn’t know what to say and Maura was accused of “screaming”.

The pair were told they broke records with the channel receiving multiple complaints about their segment.

Maura and Raj were the latest contestants to be fired from The Apprentice.

Lord Sugar said in the boardroom: “This is a selling task, your selling skills Raj, although you say are good, were not good in this case… but the salesmanship was no good whatsoever.

“Maura, I’m sorry Maura but you turned people off, created complaints.

“I think the project manager should have pulled you when she watched you and saw you doing it.

“And for that reason, Raj, I’m sorry, but I think you are responsible for the failure of this task and therefore You’re Fired.”

The eighteenth series of The Apprentice continues on Thursday nights on BBC One and iPlayer at 9pm.

Fans are being treated to 12 brand new episodes in total, with season 18 set to conclude on April 18, 2024.

Speaking about the latest batch of candidates, Lord Sugar’s aide Karren Brady told the BBC: “I think it’s probably the most highly qualified set of candidates we’ve ever had.

“I think from that point of view, the standard is really very high, but with high standard and high achievers comes high ego!”
