Trump says there will be a ‘bloodbath’ in the US if he loses the November elections | Elections 2024

Former U.S. president and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said on Saturday that there will be a “bloodbath” in the United States if he loses the November 5 election against President Joe Biden. In a particularly fiery speech, he also warned: “If we don’t win this election, I don’t think you’re going to have another election in this country.”

Speaking at a rally in Ohio — the first since he won the delegates needed to cinch the Republican nomination — Trump said: “If I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath. It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country.”

Trump did not further explain the comment, which was made amid his pledges to place tariffs on imported cars and protect the U.S. auto industry. The New York real estate tycoon — who never acknowledged his defeat against Biden in the 2020 presidential election — is accused of trying to subvert the 2020 election results and instigating the assault on the Capitol on January 6, 2021. During his speech in Ohio, the Republican paid tribute to the rioters who are in jail for attacking Congress, describing them as “hostages.” He promised to pardon them if he returns to the White House.

Trump also repeated his xenophobic messages against immigrants, calling them “criminals” and even questioning whether they are “people.” “I don’t know if you call them ‘people’ in some cases. They’re not people, in my opinion,” he said. He later referred to them as “animals.”

Last Tuesday, Trump managed to win enough delegates in the primaries to secure his presidential nomination at the Republican National Party next July.

In addition to these recent controversial comments, the Republican has also promised to be a “dictator” on the first day of his term and suggested that he would encourage Russia to attack NATO countries that do not meet defense spending quotas.
