The Ottawa Police Service has released two photographs of a suspect it is seeking to identify in connection with a stabbing in the 100 block of Rideau Street on Feb. 20.

At approximately 10:40 p.m., the victim and the male suspect argued inside a commercial establishment. The suspect then left the store. When the victim exited the store, the suspect approached and stabbed him, police said.

The victim was seriously injured.

In a news release Tuesday, the suspect was described as a male in his 20s with a light complexion, a slim build and facial hair. At the time of the incident, he wore a shiny black, blue and white winter jacket, dark pants and black shoes with white laces and glasses.

Anyone with information about his identity or the case was asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service Central Criminal Investigations Section at 613-236-1222, extension 5166.
