A mother has been arrested after a viral video showed her allegedly driving with her 12-year-old son holding down a baby bassinet in the open trunk of her car.

Diana Denise Shaffer, 36, was identified as the registered owner of a vehicle that appeared in the video showing a large object in the trunk along with the child, stated the Gwinnett County Police Department.

‘The item in the trunk was a baby bassinet recently purchased through an online marketplace advertisement, and the child (boy, age 12) was sitting in the trunk to help hold the item in place,’ wrote the police department on a Facebook post on Wednesday.

A woman on Sunday reported the video on social media to cops in the West Precinct of the county in Georgia. The clip showed a boy in the trunk of a Dodge vehicle traveling on a roadway and referenced ‘Gwinnett County’.
