Madrid´s biggest outdoor music festival is back for its 7th year, with a star -studded line up including Dua Lipa, the Smashing Pumpkins and Pearl Jame confirmed on the billboard.

The summer festival will be running from 10th to 13th July 2024 at the Iberdrola Music in the Valverde district of Madrid, running off the M45 motorway.

The festival which attracts 300,000 people over the four day event brings together leading figures from the national and international music scene in a large outdoor space that has turned Madrid into a city of reference for large-format live music. It is an event that not only brings together different musical genres, but also focuses on art, gastronomy, the environment and tourism as shared leisure ideas.

Ticketing is from 95 EUR for a day pass and 220 EUR for the full all days, in addition to varias VIP packages.

 

The 2024 edition has prepared four days of concerts, bringing together performances by many artists. The first day, scheduled for 10 July, features the British singer and songwriter Dua Lipa, The Smashing Pumpkins, Janelle Monáe, Garbage, Rels B, Nothing But Thieves and Tom Odell heading the bill. Pearl Jam, one of the biggest and most influential bands of the Grunge movement, Motxila 21, Greta Van Fleet, Keane and Michael Kiwanuka will be performing on 11 July.

The rock band, Sum 41 and artists such as Jessie Ware, Black Pumas, Tom Morello, The Breeders, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Alvvays, among others, will be on stage on Friday 12 July. The final day, on Saturday 13 July will feature Bring Me the Horizon, Avril Lavigne, The Gaslight Anthem, Arlo Parks and Ashnikko.

Throughout its history, Mad Cool Festival has featured performances by major artists, such as The Cure, Neil Young, Arctic Monkeys, Depeche Mode, Green Day, The Who, Lauryn Hill and Foo Fighters. Since opening its doors for the first time in 2016, it has become one of the most popular events in Europe and has won the NME Award for Best Line-up of the Year 2018 by the British magazine NME, one of the most prestigious in the music sector.
