Rishabh Pant struck a 24-ball 41 while debutant Jake Fraser-McGurk struck his maiden IPL fifty as Delhi Capitals registered their second win in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 on Friday. The dup stitched a match-winning 77-run partnership for the third wicket as DC defeated Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 6 wickets at Ekana Stadium.
McGurk smoked a shot of length delivery off Yash Thakur over deep mid-wicket to get his first-ever runs in the IPL. He followed that with another six in the next over. He slammed a 35-ball 55, studded with two boundaries and five maximums. But Pant hoisted the ball over Bishnoi’s head for a straight six to not only reach the 3,000-run milestone in IPL. He is now placed 6th in the Orange Cap tally with 194 runs in 6 games.
