Shoppers have praised a cheap buy from The Ordinary, that leaves skin looking smooth and bright.

The Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3% is an antioxidant formula that targets signs of ageing.

It is a light, oil-like serum for daily skin protection from the impact of oxidative stress.

Using two well-known antioxidants, this formula helps protect your skin from the visual effects of damage caused by environmental stressors, visible signs of ageing, and helps it to look brighter and smoother.

Since water can impair the stability of antioxidants, Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3% is a water-free formula.

This product is just £9.90 and works to target antioxidant support and dullness.

It is suitable for all skin types and is alcohol-free, oil-free, silicone-free and gluten-free.

Not only this, but it’s also vegan and cruelty-free too.

It is best used as a step two product, after cleansing and water-based serums, before oils, suspensions or creams.

RAVE REVIEWS

Beauty fans flocked to The Ordinary’s website to share their honest reviews of the product.

Many claimed that they could tell a difference in their skin after using the product, whilst others were impressed with how it reduced the appearance of their fine lines.

One person said: “Combination skin, over 40. I started using it about two weeks ago and my skin looks amazing.

“It feels at first a little tingling but after it’s great. It feels at first oily but after five seconds it absorbs and matifies!

“I use it in the morning and after I do my make-up which is a beautiful base. Best product ever.”

I have been using this for three months now and I can tell a definite improvement in my dark spots and reduction in fine lines

Another described the product as “affordable and effective” and added: “I just purchased my third bottle and I’ve been using it almost daily for two years. I’m 41-years-old.

“One bottle lasts a long time. I’ve never had any irritation. I have fairly sensitive and mildly acne prone skin that can be dry. 10/10.”

A third shopper, who is in her fifties, claimed that this product: “Works to reduce hyperpigmentation and fine lines.”

The beauty fan continued: “I have been using this for three months now and I can tell a definite improvement in my dark spots (ageing) and reduction in fine lines.

“I have very fair, dry, sensitive skin with signs of ageing (fine lines around eyes and mouth) and dark spots.

My skin is so smooth and firm. Can’t believe the price point

The Ordinary shopper

“I actually combine a few drops of this with a few drops of the Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 and smooth it over my entire face and neck.

“This combination seems to mitigate any irritation others are experiencing as I have had none. I use this between my toner and barrier cream at night.

“Other brands that sell this product at lower concentrations cost upwards of $168 [£132]! So I am very happy I found The Ordinary brand!”

What do dermatologists say about this product’s ingredients?

Board-certified dermatologists Jeannette GrafKim Nichols and Karan Lal, recommended this product to Cosmopolitan and claimed that instead of relying on vitamin C for its brightening powers, this ferulic-acid serum contains resveratrol, an equally powerful antioxidant that neutralises free radicals to help protect against cellular damage.

Not only this, but Michele Green, MD, a board-certified dermatologist told Byrdie that such ingredients are beneficial for slowing ageing, as she explained: “Resveratrol forms complex molecules with certain metal ions, inactivating their ability to form free radicals, and therefore improving cellular function and supporting fibroblasts, along with the creation of healthy collagen.

“This combination one-two punch makes resveratrol highly effective in combating the damaging effect of free radicals that leads to skin ageing.”

At the same time, someone else expressed: “This product is absolutely amazing. I started using this during Covid and wear it almost every single morning during fall to spring

“This makes my skin have a beautiful glow ALL DAY long. I get compliments ALL the time.

“My skin is so smooth and firm. Can’t believe the price point. Make sure you are wearing sunscreen. I also use a matte tinted sunscreen.”
