Here is the agenda for today, and tomorrow which is the big day of the San Jose fiestas in La Herradura. Don’t forget that the 19th is also Father’s Day in Spain!
Monday 18th
08:00h: Fishing contest. Prizes for winners largest single catches. At the end there will be a barbecue in front of Playa del Carbón.
11:00h: Giant children’s games, ludo, bowling, goose… Plaza de la Independencia.
13:30h: Day Fair entertained by DJ Spiry. La Herradura Castle.
A bus service will be enabled from 13:00h. to 18:00h. that will leave, every 15 minutes, from the bus stop (in front of the Beach roundabout) to La Herradura Castle.
16:00h: Traditional horse-ribbon race, organised by the Peña Ecuestre La Herradura.
16:00h: Traditional ribbon race along Calle Real. Accompanied by the Charanga “Llena que nos vas” and Giants and Big Heads. Categories: cadet and adults. 1st prize: 1 Jamón Serrano, donated by the Association of Friends of La Herradura.
18:00h: Floral Offering, departing from the Civic Center with the collaboration of the 21st Century Women’s Association and the Cosas Nuestras Choir. Those attended are asked to wear their flamenco costumes.
19:00h: Holy Mass in the San José Church accompanied by the Cosas Nuestras Choir
22:00h: Gran pyro-musical Firework Disdplay show put on by Pirotecnia Zaragozana.
22:30h In the Caseta del Mayor in the Pepe Gámez Sala at the Civic Center there will be performances by Miguel Moreno, Carlos Neyall and Show Ancoda.
23:00h: Flamenco Festival with music supplied by La Tentación Orchestra and DJ Spiry at the official caseta in the Castle gardens.
A bus service will be enabled from 21:00h to 05:00h that will leave, every 15 minutes, from the bus stop (in front of the Beach roundabout) to La Herradura Castle.
Tuesday 19th
09:00h: Bells Ringing at San José Church in celebration of the Village Patron Saint.
12:00h: Holy Mass in Honor of Saint Joseph with a performance by the Bahía de la Herradura Choir, conducted by Algis Zaboras.
12:30h: Concert in the Plaza de la Iglesia de San José, put on by the Almuñécar Municipal Music Band.
13:00h: Day Fair with musical entertained by DJ Spiry in the Castle grounds.

20:00h: A Solemn Procession in Honour of our patron saint San José, accompanied by the Our Lady of the Incarnation musical band.
Route: Departure from the church, Calle Canalejas, Calle Las Flores, Calle Real, Calle Acera del Pilar, Paseo Andrés Segovia, Calle Eucalyptus, Calle Alhambra, Calle Barranquillo, ending back at the church.
Popular festival. Official Festival Caseta. La Herradura Castle. Entertained by the La Tentación Orchestra and DJ Charly Ro.
