‘Courageous kid’ Taylor taken to hospital
Giants football general manager Jason McCartney says Sam Taylor has been taken to Canberra Hospital for assessment.
“He’s gone to Canberra Hospital for further treatment but he was conscious and speaking as he got into the ambulance,” McCartney told Fox Footy.
“He will get the best care there. It didn’t look great but he is a courageous kid and he is in the best hands now so he will be fine.”

The Giants have told Fox Footy that Taylor is now conscious and being assessed in the rooms before going to hospital.

Giants star Sam Taylor has been put on the medical cart and he will be wheeled off momentarily.
He had a clash of heads while in a marking contest with St Kilda’s Jack Steele.
“It was a significant break and he was clearly unconscious for a good bit of time,” Fox Footy’s Gerard Healy said.
Play will resume with after an eight-minute delay.
