Almuñécar and La Herradura prepare the Andalusia Day celebrations with several events for all tastes.
On February the 28 the Andalusia Day celebrations will take place both on the Plaza de San Cristóbal in Almuñécar and on the Plaza de las Maravillas in La Herradura. Both starting at 13.00h, during which the Andalusian flag will be raised and an institutional manifesto read.
In La Herradura, the Town Hall and the neighbourhood association of Asociación of Las Maravillas, will provide several performances, by the Cosas Nuestras Choir and DJ Spiry, which will be accompanied by such grub as paella and a BBQ, with the takings going to the Asociación of Las Maravillas.
Councillor for Culture de Almuñécar, Alberto García Gilabert explained that during the events on February 28 in the Plaza de San Cristóbal, “We are going to pay a heartfelt tribute to a person who has worked, all his life, for the Andalusian arts.” He also thanked the Cofradía del Cristo de los Gitanos (Semana Santa) for their collaboration and dedication.
First Councillor for La Herradura, Daniel Barbero thanked the Asociación of Las Maravillas, because “They do a great job, helping to create a family ambience for everyone who visits this corner of Herradura.”
