A 24-year-old Brampton man faces 14 charges in connection with an armed home invasion late last year and two other armed robberies this year.

Peel Regional Police allege on Nov 25, 2023, four suspects used force to enter a residence near Sandalwood Pkwy. and McLaughlin Rd., in Brampton and demanded money and property.

Police say a shot was fired by one of the suspects. One of the occupants was struck and assaulted with the firearm and required medical attention.

Once the suspects obtained a quantity of property, they fled.

Investigators allege one of the suspects was also responsible for two other robberies.

In the first of those cases, cops allege on Jan. 23 the victim was in their car in a Mississauga parking lot near Mavis Rd. and Dundas St. when the suspect approached on foot with a firearm and demanded money.

Cops say the victim was struck on the head with the gun, sustaining minor injuries, and the suspect fled on foot once property and the vehicle keys were stolen.

In the second incident, police allege on March 6 two victims arranged to meet the suspect near McLaughlin Rd. and Ray Lawson Blvd. in Brampton.

Authorities say the suspect produced a handgun and demanded the vehicle. One victim was struck on the head with the gun, resulting in minor physical injuries.

The suspect fled on foot and did not obtain any property or the vehicle.

On April 10, police arrested a suspect and found them to be in possession of a loaded 9mm firearm with ammunition.

Tyrese Williams has been charged with robbery with a firearm, three counts of wearing a disguise, two counts of robbery, seven weapons-related charges and possession of property obtained by crime.

At the time of his arrest, Williams was bound by a weapons prohibition stemming from previous convictions for robbery with the specific condition not to possess any weapons.

Two other suspects, Jessiah Farrell and Kashaun Grenier, were previously charged in the home invasion.

Police say the investigation remains ongoing, and investigators believe more charges could be laid.
