ITV VIEWERS could not believe their eyes after spotting the “two legends” sitting either side of Sir Alex Ferguson this afternoon.
The iconic former manager was in the stands to watch Manchester United’s rollercoaster 4-3 victory over Liverpool in the FA Cup to secure a semi-final against Coventry.
Scott McTominay got the Red Devils off to a flyer but Alexis Mac Allister and Mo Salah put the visitors ahead before the break – with both goals enraging Roy Keane.
Substitute Antony struck at the end of normal time to send the clash into extra-time, only for Harvey Elliott’s deflected effort to restore Liverpool’s lead.
Marcus Rashford struck late on to seemingly send it to penalties – but there would be another, late, dramatic twist.
Another sub, Amad Diallo, fired home after a counter-attack in the final seconds to win it 4-3.
However, Amad’s celebrations were cut-short after he removed his shirt and got sent-off after picking up his second booking.
Despite that, United were able to hold on as Old Trafford enjoyed an afternoon just like in Fergie’s heyday.
And the Scotsman, who also met WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury at the game, loved every second of it as he watched on alongside a fellow sporting legend and an iconic British actor.
Ferguson had South Africa’s rugby union World Cup winning captain Siya Kolisi to his right, while Northern Irish screen star James Nesbitt was seated to his left.

Fergie and Nesbitt were even caught in conversation throughout the thrilling cup tie.
But a number of viewers watching at home had to double take as they took to social media to share their disbelief.
“My head’s falling off here, I’m sure that was Siya Kolisi next to Ferguson,” said one.
Another wrote: “James Nesbitt just casually chilling with Ferguson.”
A third posted: “Siya Kolisi at the Theatre Of Dreams, seated next to him is Sir Alex Ferguson?
“What a time to be alive. Wow!!!”
While a fourth added: “Random trio of the day: Sir Alex Ferguson, Siya Kolisi and James Nesbitt.”
